My dustbin of thoughts..:P

Jodha Akbar…

well first let me come to all the controversies surrounding this movie ( i know my opinion is not going to matter much , but kya farak padta hai ) , as ashutosh gowarkiar had clearly written at the starting of the movie that there are many versions of history and he is highlighting just one of them , so there should not be such hue and cry ( but considering it diff. , think about this situation , that you potray someone like Dyer as a great Hero ,  definately there would be protests from a great amount of people ,   so in that way , these protests are justified ) but as in india there is a freedom of speech and thought , so my vote goes in favour of ashutosh .

and now the movie …

me , sahil and ankit ( i think this is a trio about which you are going to read a lot in our four years at iit ) went to priya pvr ( in case any of you always wonder what does pvr stand for , here it is Priya Village Roadshow ) bought the 120 bucks ticket ( 50 buck ticket was also available but as we already know that movie was going to be long , so avoided it ) and then straight to Mac D( we reached early as did not want to miss the show , rather too early ) …

Btw when i read the last paragraph once again , i thought what the hell i am doing , aren’t you finding this crazy , brackets after every line to explain that line in a bit of more detail … Please do not mind it …

Jodha Akbar was a good movie , in a way i did not get bored at even single point of movie ( my initial thoughts were that their love life potrayal would be boring ) , i would not discuss the movie much ,  only one scene ..

in the ending of the movie , this guy called sharifudin adam ( who was the husband of Akbar ’s sister , and had plotted to murder Akbar earlier in the movie) challenged akbar to fight with him  one on one to avoid the battle between them ( now do not start thinking about Troy ) and the bet was that if sharifudin won , he would get the crown of delhi and if akbar won , then sharifudin would leave the country and go away …

Although Akbar won the fight between them ( which was quite obvious ) , but it lead me to think why in the first place he accepted such a challenge , the whole Sultanate of Delhi was on the bet , and akbar would lose everything ( he had a stronger army + he knew that sharifudin had better body than him ) … and then ankit came up with this deadly dialogue ” This is the dividing line between Heroism and Stupidity  “  i was like dumbstruch how ankit could even think of such a great line , and when i asked him he said this was one of the dialogue of navjot singh sidhu in an india – new zealand encounter .. Gosh !! this guy is cool..

Auto Expo…

Would like to start this post with the summary first …

” Cars , Bikes , Girls – a deadly combination , so seductive yet so unattainable….”

Went today to 9th auto expo at pragati maidan .. and it was a good break from  the hectic schedule of iitd in more than one way … first it was diff. from the academic schedule of iitd, and then there were a lot of beautiful girls , which is diametrically opposite situation from iitd …

In morning , me , kansal , and shikhar took the bus from kumaon and reached at pragati maidan by 11.. after then it was only bikes , cars , girls, big machines, really big machines…

spent cool 100 bucks for ticket ( a amall amount for such nain- sukh prapati ) , went to first hall showcasing Yamaha bikes..,God!! one day would like to have all of them .. and then big machines from Easton and some other companies… complex gear mechanisms , high torques , speed and various other factors governing their production..Foreigners  in large numbers .. all these were features of the first hall..

In the second hall , there were mouth watering cars and models , their sheen could be seen even when i was far from them .. have put the pics on orkut..

And then there was ASIMO , the one thing which i never expected in the auto expo , and it was beautiful , too smart , he could climb the stairs with his AI ,  kudos to japanese…

btw there was standup comedy of Pratap Faujdar , at his vulgar best .. i do not know how can he come upwith such jokes every time .. . but that was a cool pasttime…

Finally , the NANO!! the  much awaited tata’s one lakh car .. the crowds were too hard to handle , and even i had to struggle initially to get a glimpse of it , but as there were four nanos so there was a large platform .. so after waiting for sometime , got into front row and could analyze it for some time, well the looks are good ( although tyres are little small ) but overall a four seated car for 1 lakh… too cool!!

Overall it was a great experience , quite diff. from my hectic iit schedule…
